An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
