Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
